Conference Venue
The main venue of GD 2024 is at the Campus Getreidemarkt of TU Wien. It is located in the 6th district of Vienna, near the Secession art institute. Naschmarkt, Mariahilfer Street, and Museumsquartier are also close to the main venue and are home to nice bars and restaurants of various cuisines.

Building BA

which is located on the 11th floor and has two roof terraces providing an inspiring view over the city.
The room BA 10A, located on the 10th floor of the same building, can be used as break-out room during the conference. On Wednesday afternoon, we will host a Software Exhibition in this room.
The PhD School as well as the GD Contest take place in lecture hall GM3 on the 2nd floor of the same building.
Access to the Venue
To access the location, enter the building BA (see this interactive map of the campus) and take the elevator to the 11th floor. The location is accessible by wheelchair.
The building BA can easily be reached from Karlsplatz. Karlsplatz is a main hub in Viennas public transport system and as such served by the metro lines U1 and U4. Be aware that the metro line U2 currently does not stop at Karlsplatz. Furthermore, the tram lines D, 1, 2, and 71 stop at the station Oper, Karlsplatz, which is connected to Karlsplatz via an underground passage.
Once at Karlsplatz, leave the station at the exit Secession and then head towards north-west. You pass by the Secession art museum, cross a larger road at the traffic light and then take a right turn towards the tall TU Wien building. You reach the venue after five minutes.
If your hotel is located near Mariahilfer Street, you can reach the venue by heading towards Platz der Menschenrechte and then following the street Getreidemarkt for about five minutes in a south-easterly direction. Alternatively, the bus line 57A stops next to the venue (exit at Getreidemarkt) and connects the 6th and 15th district of Vienna with the venue.
If your hotel is located near Westbahnhof, you can reach the venue by first taking the U3 until the station Volkstheater. From there, it is a ten-minute walk in a south-easterly direction to the venue.

Reception, Registration & Coffee Breaks
The welcome reception for the main conference will take place on Tuesday, September 17, from 19:00-21:00 in TUtheSky.
Registration and coffee breaks for the main conference and for the PhD School will be in or right next to the respective lecture rooms. The registration desk opens at 8:30.
Lunch
Lunch during the three conference days will be provided in the Mensa of TU Wien, which is located on the first floor of the “Freihaus” building of TU Wien. The mensa is a five minute walk away from the main conference venue, see the map on the inside of your nametag or in the conference booklet. We will also guide you from the main conference venue to the “Freihaus” building.
The meal plan is provided in the back of your conference booklet or on the Mensa webpage. Please bring your lunch vouchers.
Social Dinner

which is located at the Vienna University of Economics and Business near the Prater amusement park. A dedicated tram will take us from Karlsplatz along the famous Ringstraße and past many historical buildings to the Prater. From there, it is a ten-minute walk to the restaurant.
If you do not want to join the tram ride, you can reach the social dinner either by taking the U2 to Krieau or tram line 1 to Prater, Hauptallee. In both cases, it is only a ten-minute walk to the social dinner.
To get back to the city center after dinner, line U2 will run every 5—10 minutes until midnight and tram 1 will run every 10—15 minutes until midnight.
